A unique grape variety for Ukraine – a unique dry white Ukrainian wine from Chateau Chizay.
In 1960, breeder Károly Bakonyi developed a new grape variety by crossing the noble Traminer Pink and Irsai Olivér. The full name of the new variety is Cserszegi Fűszeres (Hungarian for “Cserszegi Spicy”).

In Ukraine, this grape is cultivated and turned into wine exclusively by Chateau Chizay. Chersegi is loved for its unique charm and signature spiciness. This variety is also used to create the sparkling wine Carpathian Sekt.

Awards:
London Wine Competition – Silver Medal (2021)
Japan Wine Challenge – Bronze Medal (2023)
Winelovers Wine Awards – Silver Medal (2024)

Pale yellow-straw color with greenish reflections.

A medium-intensity aroma with nuances of apricot, sweet peach, white rose petals, and a subtle hint of spice.

A very light taste, thanks to its low sugar and alcohol content and well-balanced acidity. Its freshness makes it the perfect summer wine.

Enjoy on its own or pair with asparagus and baked dorado.

Be sure to serve well-chilled!
