An elegant dry red wine made from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pinot Noir grapes. Each wine is aged separately for nine months in fine oak barrels and then blended according to the vision of our head winemaker, Zoltan Udvardi.
What is a cuvée? French winemakers use the term in two meanings:
It is a take on a classic Bordeaux-style blend, where powerful Cabernet Sauvignon is softened by Merlot, with Pinot Noir added to bring an extra layer of character.
The Cuvée has a medium-depth violet color.
The “first impression” on the nose is slightly dusty, reminiscent of the style of the Rhône Valley. Juicy blackberry and blackcurrant invite you to explore the wine further. A subtle hint of green pyrazine suggests that the wine may benefit from further aging. These are classic Bordeaux characteristics, and Bordeaux remains one of the world’s most celebrated wine styles. You will not regret discovering our interpretation of it!
The palate is beautifully balanced and more refined than the aroma, revealing notes of dark chocolate and delicious dried cherry. The finish is not as long as that of the Merlot, but it leans more toward vibrant berry notes.
Continuing the Bordeaux theme, this wine is an excellent match for a rack of lamb.
