Sekt Selection – the first sparkling wines from Zakarpattia, created using the Traditional Method from exclusive grape varieties for Ukraine – Chersegi and Blaufrankisch of the 2021 vintage. In this limited lineup, there is a sparkling aged wine Brut nature in both white, Chersegi, and rosé, Blaufrankisch. Our winemaker uncovered the potential of grape varieties that had not been used for sparkling wines in Ukraine before. Each of the Sekt Selection wines is an expression, a cork-sealed bottle telling a story of originality, luxurious aroma, and taste – a premium drink that is intriguing to explore.
These wines themselves have a unique story: bottled for the second fermentation on February 24, 2022… A wine created during times of war, a wine of Victory – we believe in it. By crafting Sekt Selection, Chateau Chizay is shaping a new chapter in the winemaking history of Zakarpattia and the entire country.
