Carpathian Sekt
This sparkling wine is crafted with respect for the history of Transcarpathia. “Sekt” is the term for sparkling wines in Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic at the end of the 19th century, during the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Later, this term was used for sparkling wines in Czechoslovakia. Transcarpathia inherited these traditions, and each of these wines is exclusive to Ukraine. “Carpathian Sekt” is a unique name that Chateau Chizay revives for sparkling wines from Transcarpathia. Carpathian Sekt wines are created using the European Charmat-Martinotti method. This method, also known as the tank or autoclave method, involves natural fermentation in large vessels (tanks or autoclaves), after which the finished sparkling wine is bottled. This method ensures the delicacy and freshness of aroma and taste.
Traditionally, the best sparkling wines in Europe were single-variety wines – made from a single grape variety. We created three of our sects from special varieties that grow in the vineyards of Chateau Chizay: the unique local Chershegi, the legendary Rosé Traminer, and the European favorite Blaufränkisch.

Chersegi sparkling wine is created by the Sharma-Martinotti method from unique for Ukraine local grape variety Chersegi, which grows exclusively in the vineyards of Chateau Chizay. The unsurpassed bouquet of Chersegi Chateau Chizay has a rich scattering of fruit aromas and floral shades, and the bright taste - a pleasant lightness and refreshing acidity. It is a delicious and indeed original Sekt.

Sparkling semi-sweet
Traminer sparkling semi-sweet wine is created by Charmat-Martinotti method from Traminer grapes grown in the vineyards of Chateau Chizay. The fragrant bouquet of sparkling traminer is harmonious, you will feel tones of flowers, spices and tropical fruits. The taste of this Sekt is well-balanced, moderately sweet, with pleasant fruity tones.
