Two more Golds added to the Chateau Chizay collection – with medals from Le Mondial des Vins Blancs Strasbourg.
Two more Gold medals have been added to the Chateau Chizay collection – this time from Le Mondial des Vins Blancs Strasbourg, one of the most authoritative international competitions dedicated exclusively to white wines. Held annually in Alsace, France – a region that sets global standards for white winemaking – the competition is known for its rigorous expertise.
Organized with the support of international wine institutions such as Organisation Internationale de la Vigne et du Vin, the judging process is conducted through blind tastings by a professional jury. This makes each award a true recognition of precision, balance, and quality.
This year, wines from 15 countries took part, and only 9 received top distinctions: France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Greece, Luxembourg, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Ukraine. We are proud to be among those representing our country on the global stage.
Two of our wines received Gold medals – each with its own character and story:
🏆 Troyanda Karpat – a revived legend of Zakarpattia winemaking. A dessert wine that captivates from the very first sip, with a distinctive аромат and taste that cannot be mistaken. Crafted from Traminer Rosé grapes harvested at peak sugar ripeness – something that nature allows not every year – it reveals delicate notes of tea rose petals, dried fruits, vanilla, and a refined honeyed palate. A true icon and one of the most awarded wines of Ukraine.
🏆 Furmint Orange – a vibrant dry wine crafted using the skin contact method, where white wine is made in the style of red – with extended contact between juice, skins, and pulp. This technique gives the wine depth, насыщеність, expressive aromatics, and a rich taste profile. It is part of our ongoing exploration of Furmint – a grape we work with across multiple styles, discovering new dimensions with each vintage.
By participating in international competitions, we test our craftsmanship and the relevance of our approach on the global wine stage. But even more importantly, we represent Ukraine, placing it firmly on the world wine map and restoring Zakarpattia’s status as a historic European wine region.
Each medal is more than an award.
It is a story of place, people, and belief.
Choose Ukrainian.
