“Wine” diplomacy. Ukrainian wine – at the ProWein Dusseldorf exhibition.
Chateau Chizay at the ProWein Dusseldorf exhibition – three days about wine, about Ukrainian wine! ProWein is the main international event in the wine industry, which took place in Dusseldorf, Germany. Chateau Chizay, among 17 Ukrainian producers at the Wines of Ukraine stand, presented its wines and spirits to the entire wine world, and the team held dozens of meetings with current and potential international partners.
The only national stand of Wines of Ukraine caused a stir among visitors of the massive exhibition – wine experts, traders, importers, journalists from many countries.
Every minute at @prowein_tradefair, we introduced people to Ukrainian wine and made them fall in love with it, discussed further cooperation, and received professional feedback.
Oleksandra Polishchuk, Vice President of Chateau Chizay for Development, shares:
“I’m happy to note that Ukrainian wines were warmly received at the event, both by Ukrainian consumers and international ones. Our Carpathian Sekts, made from the Chersegi and Blaufrankish varieties, received many compliments.
Our aged dry red wines also attracted attention. We brought a couple of bottles of Pinot Noir, which will be available soon (and which you have been eagerly awaiting!), and it pleased the guests. Our Cuvée also stood out.
The stars of our presentation were the Late Harvest Furmint and the branded dessert wine “Troyanda Karpat” which represent Ukraine as ambassadors at the “City of Wine” museum in Bordeaux, France. These wines received many wonderful reviews and have already gained recognition on the international stage.
We also received congratulations on our big news, which we are proud of – fresh awards from the prestigious Mundus Vini competition, held here in Germany. This includes the “gold” for the White Troyanda Carpat and the “silver” for our new red wine.
What else surprises foreigners visiting our stand? Brandy Zakarpattia – they note its rich aroma and smoothness. And undoubtedly, the grape juice. It impresses everyone who tastes it with its natural flavor!”
For the first time, the Ukrainian stand was visited by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany, Oleksiy Makeev, who confirmed the opinion that Ukrainian wine is also part of diplomacy in the world, as it introduces our land, our culture, and Ukraine as a country of talented and hardworking people who create world-class products.
Every time at ProWein Dusseldorf is a lot of meetings with partners with whom we already do business but haven’t met in person yet.
Yes, we had the opportunity to talk to wine market professionals from Italy, Sweden, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, Israel, the USA, and of course, Germany – just a few of the countries whose representatives we interacted with at the exhibition.
The team’s separate joy was meeting with long-standing international partners who have become friends. And also with Ukrainian friends who are currently abroad! Additionally, our team gathered many contacts and hopes to expand Chateau Chizay’s presence on the world map.
It is worth noting that we currently export wines to 21 countries, including France and Japan. It was very pleasant to meet in person with our friend Mr. Bruce, who organized the company “Vyno Ukrainy” in the USA and already exports Chateau Chizay products to America.
We thank the organizers and everyone who supported us! For the wonderful national stand that brought together the “Ukrainian national wine team.” Sincere gratitude to Mrs. Iryna Shum, the Consul General of Ukraine in Dusseldorf, for comprehensive assistance and such personal involvement in the cause.
Of course, thanks to the excellent team of Wines of Ukraine: Victoria Agromakova, Svitlana Tsybak, Sergiy Klimov, Victoria Makarova, as well as wine expert Tetiana Olevska and Ukrainian wine ambassador Yevheniya Nikolaychuk. You are doing a tremendous job in developing Ukrainian winemaking and promoting it worldwide!
We are grateful to every guest who paid attention to Ukrainian wines, to every current and future partner!
The ProWein Dusseldorf event once again proved: Ukraine is a winemaking country and part of the global wine culture.
