What makes Chateau Chizay wines, which are included in the list of those worthy of representing Ukrainian winemaking, so interesting?
The Carpathian Sekt Brut Rosé, made from the exclusive Blaufränkisch grape variety in Ukraine, is delicate yet bright.
It delights with a gentle aroma featuring berry tones and notes of red flowers, as well as a balanced taste.
This is an excellent aperitif for any pleasant occasion, friendly gatherings, accompanying a fruit plate, or simply a good evening – the wine carries a mood of joy.
Furmint Orange is a wine made by the skin-contact method from a white grape variety, but in the manner of red wine: with maceration on the grape pulp.
Our dry “orange” represents the European version of this style.
Thanks to the technology (which is thousands of years old!), the wine is maximally enriched with aroma and flavor from the grape cluster.
Such wine is considered the richest in valuable substances and is even called the elixir of youth.
Amber wine is loved for its rich aroma and taste, bright acidity, full body, and long finish…
And, by the way, Orange wine perfectly complements a variety of dishes. The batch is limited. 🔥
Furmint Late Harvest is a special type of sweet white wine. It’s also a dream wine, for which the natural conditions were awaited for 5 years.
Made from late-harvest Furmint grapes that were affected by the noble rot Botrytis cinerea, which “withers” the grapes on the vine, and then the precious harvest transfers luxurious aromas and flavors to the wine: citrus, quince, peach, pear, raisins, honey…
The new “star” of Chateau Chizay already has prestigious awards and is an ambassador of Ukrainian winemaking at the world’s leading wine museum, La Cité du Vin (France).
For reference: The project was initiated by Wines of Ukraine within the framework of the international cooperation program “EU4Business: Recovery, Competitiveness, and Internationalization of SMEs,” which is co-financed by the European Union and the German government and implemented by the German federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. The program aims to support the economic resilience, recovery, and growth of Ukraine, create better conditions for the development of Ukrainian SMEs, and support innovation and exports.
