Awards for new releases. Platinum for Mukachevo Brandy and Silver for Sauvignon Blanc at Wine & Spirits Ukraine Awards
Receiving top awards even before a product officially reaches the market. We know how to do it. This year, we submitted our newest releases to Wine & Spirits Ukraine Awards, one of Ukraine’s leading professional competitions for wines and spirits. The results are impressive: a Platinum Medal and the title of Best Spirit for Mukachevo Transcarpathian Brandy, and a Silver Medal for our Sauvignon Blanc 2025.
🏆 Mukachevo Transcarpathian Brandy 8* was named the Best Spirit of the Competition. It received 95.29 points out of 100 and was awarded a Platinum Medal.
We created this new brandy as a tribute to the city of Mukachevo on the occasion of its 1,130th anniversary. It is an elegant brandy aged for more than eight years.
The bouquet reveals notes of dried fruits, vanilla and chocolate, complemented by delicate spicy nuances.
Its taste is deep and multi-layered, with walnut-honey tones and fruit accents, leading to a long and harmonious finish.
🏆 Sauvignon Blanc 2025, a dry white wine that will be released this season, also received recognition. This international variety demonstrates a clean and expressive style with citrus notes, vibrant freshness and herbal nuances. A classic Sauvignon Blanc with a distinctive Transcarpathian character.
Wine & Spirits Ukraine Awards is one of the key professional tasting competitions in Ukraine. This year’s edition was particularly competitive, featuring 224 entries — 181 wines and 43 spirits.
According to the organizers, the results confirmed a major trend in the market: producers are becoming more innovative and technologically advanced, focusing not only on sensory quality but also on the commercial potential of their products.
The wines and spirits were evaluated by 33 industry professionals, including sommeliers, brand ambassadors, distributors and HoReCa representatives. This diverse jury ensured not only professional sensory assessment but also consideration of each product’s market prospects, retail potential and suitability for wine lists.
The awards ceremony took place in Kyiv during Wine & Spirits Premiere, a new-format event dedicated to showcasing new releases from the 2025 and 2026 vintages. At the Chateau Chizay stand, guests and participants had the opportunity to discover seven upcoming releases presented by Vitalii Kovach, renowned sommelier, wine expert, ambassador of Transcarpathia and brand ambassador of Chateau Chizay.
According to Vitalii Kovach, Mukachevo Transcarpathian Brandy left a strong impression on every taster. Meanwhile, the 2025 Sauvignon Blanc was frequently described as fresh, crisp and highly drinkable — exactly the style consumers seek during the warmer months.
“If you enjoy classic Sauvignon Blanc, for example from New Zealand, you will appreciate this wine. It follows the traditional style of the variety while expressing a distinctive Transcarpathian accent,” says Vitalii Kovach.
