Wines recognized by the world. 5 medals at the prestigious Decanter Awards for Chateau Chizay.
The highly authoritative and rigorous competition, Decanter World Wine Awards 2024, which took place in London for the 21st time, has announced its results, and they bring great joy to those who, like us, consider Ukrainian wine to be very promising. This competition is regarded as one of the benchmark events in the world. Medals from Decanter influence how a particular wine is evaluated in the international professional wine sphere. We are delighted that our exceptional wines, including both “Troyanda Karpat” wines – white and the new red, as well as the sweet wines made using complex technologies, Ice Wine Riesling and Late Harvest Furmint, have received such high ratings and worldwide recognition for the wines of Zakarpattia.
Decanter World Wine Awards is one of the largest tasting competitions in the world. This year’s scale is also impressive.
In the Decanter 2024 competition, the jury comprised 243 leading wine experts, including 20 Master Sommeliers and 61 Masters of Wine.
The judges were from 33 countries. And the wines (more than 18,000 samples!) came from 57 countries worldwide, from Chile to Japan.
Producers from renowned wine-making nations like France and Italy, as well as those striving to achieve this status, such as Ukraine, compete for Decanter distinctions.

And here are the achievements of Chateau Chizay in the Decanter World Wine Awards – 2024:
🏆 Silver medal and a high score of 94 out of 100 – sweet white wine Ice Wine Riesling
🏆 Silver medal (92 points) – sweet white wine of a special type Late Harvest Furmint
🏆 Silver medal (90 points) – vintage dessert red wine “Troyanda Karpat”
🏆 Bronze medal (88 points) – vintage dessert white wine “Troyanda Karpat”
🏆 Bronze medal (88 points) – aged dry red wine Cabernet Franc Reserve (vintage 2018).
